Known in construction circles as “Dr. Gorilla” and the "Construction Materials Evangelist," the bulk of Phill’s professional experience rests on a foundation of creating and implementing effective communication strategies to help old-line construction and ready-mix companies across North America navigate change and profit from emerging opportunities.

The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association recognized his training and marketing expertise with a Training Excellence award and by making Phill its first recipient of the Murray S. Simpson Lionheart Award for Promotion Excellence (now known as the NRMCA Promoter of the Year award).

Today, Phill leads a small but amazingly adept management-consulting firm, specializing in helping businesses and organizations earn higher returns from their marketing and business communication investments. His Blog, Concrete 53172, is read by thousands weekly.

An honors graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, Phill enjoys people, research, technology, change, collaboration, deadlines, and the organizational challenges of complex, multiple projects.
