The primary election focus is heavy on Texas and Ohio these days, but the most important votes prior to November’s presidential election are in and tabulated … and your vote made a world of difference for one of my customers, Cellular Concrete LLC, and its innovative, patent-pending, engineered foam liquid concentrate, Geofoam SP.
World of Concrete (WOC) officials reported late last week that Geofoam SP, which enables the production of pervious cellular lightweight concrete (PCLWC), was voted Most Innovative Product (MIP) – Concrete Making Materials Category – by WOC attendees and by construction professionals like you who participated in the MIP campaign by voting online.
Rare Double Win for Geofoam SP™
WOC also annually assembles a panel of industry experts to review the MIP product candidates and determine MIP category winners based on the innovation the product brings to the industry.
There were 14 categories in this year’s campaign.
Geofoam SP™ was the only product candidate in the 2008 campaign to win the MIP designation from both show attendees and World of Concrete’s panel of industry experts.
What is PCLWC?
PCLWC is a permeable, open-celled, low-density engineered material, able to stabilize soil without disturbing or redirecting natural water flow. Typical applications include sports fields, golf courses, pervious parking lot and pavement subbases, backfilling and void filling, landscaping, and other geotechnical construction applications.
